Sautéed Asparagus is a quick appetiser which will be gone from the plate in no time. It’s both healthy and toothsome. Asparagus is an excellent source of fiber, folate, chromium and vitamins. It has virtually no fat and very low in calories. Add a few cloves of garlic to make it tastier and fragrant.

- Asparagus 250 grams (broken/cut into 2)
- Sliced Garlic 2 cloves
- Olive Oil for frying
- Vertically Sliced Green Chilli 1 (optional)
- Salted Butter 1 tablespoon (optional)
- Black Pepper a pinch
- Salt to taste
Heat a frying pan over a medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add garlic. After a minute add asparagus and green chilli. Sauté on high-heat for 5 minutes (cooking on high heat will give the asparagus a nice crunch). Add salt and black pepper powder to taste and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
Add a knob of butter (if using) and toss to heat through.
Serve hot as an appetiser!
