OMG Pizza – Shack Saturdays Special

When my better half had the first bite of this pizza he exclaimed ‘Oh My God, this so tasty!’ Soon enough after having it, I too exclaimed, OMG! Well, then I thought it’s actually O-M-G – Onion, Mushroom and Green Capsicum/Bell Pepper Pizza ūüôā ūüôā Therefore, the name!

The burst of flavours in this pizza is truly unique and you would empty the plate in no time. It’s extremely easy to make this pizza. Busy moms be ready to delight your kids.

Below are the steps for you all;

Main Ingredients Pizza Bread (Base/Crust), Onion, Mushroom and Green Capsicum/Bell Pepper

  • Readymade Pizza Bread (Base/Crust)¬† 4 (or more)
  • Onion ¬†1¬†sliced round (take out the rings)
  • Capsicum/Bell Pepper (Green) 1 medium-diced
  • Green Chillies 2 chopped
  • Button Mushrooms (White or Brown)¬† 7-8 thinly sliced
  • Tomato Sauce ¬†1/2¬†cup
  • Chilli Sauce/Hot Barbecue Sauce or Homemade Chilli & Garlic Sauce ¬†1/2 cup
  • Ground Black Pepper ¬†1 teaspoon
  • Salt ¬†to taste
  • Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese (half-half or only mozzarella cheese) ¬†3 cups grated
  • Oregano (Dry) ¬†sprinkle to taste
  • Chilli Flakes ¬†sprinkle to taste


Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree C/350 degree F.

Step 2
Take pizza base/crust and apply both the sauces on them. Top up with onion rings, green capsicum/bell pepper, mushroom, garlic and green chilli. Sprinkle salt, ground black pepper, oregano and chilli flakes all over to taste. Sprinkle grated pizza cheese all over. Repeat for the rest of the pizza crusts. Step 3
Arrange the prepared pizza crusts on a pizza tray (like the one in the photos) or a normal baking tray with parchment/baking paper and bake for 15-20 minutes (You will see the cheese turning golden brown, that is the time when you can carefully take the tray out from the oven).

Step 4
Cut the pizza into four or eight slices (depending upon how big or small pizza base/crust you are using) with a knife or a pizza cutter, sprinkle some more dried oregano and chilli flakes (as per your taste) and serve hot and crispy.Bon Appétit!
