Dark Chocolate OREO (Microwave) Cup Cake

This one is for all you guys who requested for a cake which can be made in a microwave. The best thing about this cake is that it’s just a 5 ingredient cake 🙂 and the good news is that you would
most likely have these ingredients already at home. Feel free to use any other cream biscuit if you don’t have OREO biscuits at home.

Here are the steps;

Makes 2 Dark Chocolate OREO Cup Cakes

  • OREO Biscuit  (14) to be used as the flour
  • Fresh Milk  3/4th cup (around 200 grams)
  • Baking Soda  1/2 tablespoon
  • Baking Powder  1/2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla Essence  1/2 teaspoon


Step 1
Grease a microwave safe cup/bowl with some cooking oil and keep aside.

Step 2
Grind oreo biscuits till they become powdery. Add the remaining four ingredients to the oreo biscuit powder in the grinder and mix.

Step 3
Pour the batter in the greased cup/bowl and heat in microwave for 20-30 seconds. Keep an eye on the microwave throughout. Bring the cake out and do a toothpick test to see if the cake is cooked from inside. If not, heat for another 10 seconds. Let it rest outside for 10-15 minutes and then enjoy the quick OREO cake as and when you crave.

[Please note that any extra second of heat can result in the cake burning, so I suggest to make a small cake with a little portion of the OREO batter as a test cake first, then the second time you can make a cake with the rest of the batter.

I haven’t added sugar to this cake as the sweetness of OREO biscuits is good enough for me, but you can feel free to add a couple of teaspoons of sugar to make it sweeter.]
