Strawberry and Mint Cooler

Strawbery and Mint Cooler-Indian Curry ShackDeliciously cooling Strawberry and Mint Cooler is here this evening. Take the freshest and sweetest strawberries for this recipe. It tastes incredible when mixed with soda or sprite.

Preparation Time  7-10 minutes
Making Time  5-7 minutes
Servings  4-5 Glasses

Level Of Blending  Medium

Ingredients  

  • Strawberries  350 grams (sliced)
  • Lemon Juice  1 lemon
  • Fresh Mint Leaves  a few sprigs
  • Sugar  2 cups (for strawberry syrup – you can add another cup if the strawberries are not very sweet)
  • Sprite/Soda  500 ml
  • Ice  20-25 cubes
  • Water  3 cups

Method

Step 1
To make the Strawberry Syrup – In a saucepan, take sliced strawberries and simmer in water. Strain out the flesh.Strawberries - Collage - Indian Curry ShackStep 2
Simmer the strawberry and water mixture again with sugar (about 5-7 minutes). Let the strawberry and sugar syrup cool.Strawberry & Mint Cooler - Collage - Indian Curry ShackStep 3
Place some fresh mint sprigs in 4-5 glasses and muddle them. Add lemon juice equally in each glass. Fill the glasses to 3/4th level with ice cubes. Divide the strawberry syrup equally into the glasses and mix well. Top it up with sprite or soda and give a stir. Serve chilled.Strawberry Cooler - Collage - Indian Curry Shack

  3. This looks so refreshing and you’re using one of my favorite berries. Mint is a great accent to this summery drink. You are so right that only the best strawberries should be used as I am sure they really come through in this drink.
