Grilled Tortilla Wrap

Grilled Tortilla Wrap - Indian Curry ShackWraps from the versatile Mexican Tortillas (thin flat breads made from wheat flour). These roll-ups  takes the least effort – simply stuff the tortillas with stir-fried veggies and grated mozzarella cheese then grill until golden brown and serve with salsa, sour cream or chilli sauce.

Ingredients                                                                  

  • Tortillas (thin flat breads made from wheat flour)  6-8
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese  2 cups
  • Red, Green & Yellow Capsicums (Bell Peppers)  1 each diced
  • Onion  1 large diced
  • Carrot  1  diced
  • Chopped Tomato  1 medium
  • Chopped Garlic  5-7 cloves
  • Chopped Ginger  1 inch
  • Chopped Green Chillies  2
  • Soy Sauce  1 tablespoon
  • Chilli Sauce  1/4 cup (optional)
  • Olive Oil  3 tablespoons
  • Black Pepper Powder  1 teaspoon
  • Salt  to taste

Method

Step 1

Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add chopped ginger and garlic.  Sauté for 1 minute. Then add diced onions and sauté  for 2 minutes. Add chopped tomato and carrot and continue to sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add the diced capsicums (bell peppers), chopped chillies, salt and black pepper powder. Sauté all the veggies for 4-5 minutes. Add soy sauce and stir once. Switch-off the flame. Make sure the veggies are not fully cooked. Keep this mixture aside.Grilled Tortilla Wrap - Veggies - Indian Curry Shack

Step 2
Take 1 tortilla. Sprinkle little mozzarella cheese in the center. Now put the veggie mixture in the center too. Add  some chilli sauce if you like it hot (optional). Sprinkle more mozzarella cheese. Now roll it up to make a wrap. Repeat this step for the remaining tortillas. (You can use a tooth-pick to keep the wrap firm)

Step 3
Preheat the grill or griddle (tava) for 1-2 minutes.
For grill – Put some olive oil on the front and back of the wrap and put it on the grill.
For griddle (tava) – Put 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil in the center. Heat it for 1 minute. Now lay the tortilla wrap on it.Grilled Tortilla Wrap - Cooking - Indian Curry Shack

Step 4
Grill it till golden brown from all sides.

Step 5
